October 12, 1518 - Martin Luther Grilled by Cardinal Thomas Cajetan

It has been over 500 years since Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses to the doors of the Castle Church in Wittenberg in 1517, and many forget how influential this day was to the Christian faith. On October 12, 1518, he was interrogated by Cardinal Thomas Cajetan in Augsburg, Germany. Luther later wrote that he was so frightened that he could barely ride his horse because his intestines were “acting up” for days after.
