November 22, 1963 - Aldus Huxley and C.S. Lewis Die
The world remembers November 22, 1963 as the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. However, two very different British authors also died that same day: Aldus Huxley and C.S. Lewis (pictured). Huxley was a skeptical man who never truly believed in God but instead explored mysticism and spirituality without any real connection or relationship with God. In contrast, C.S. Lewis’s journey from atheism to Christianity caused him to become one of the greatest apologists of all time. His works Mere Christianity continues to be widely praised, and The Chronicles of Narnia series has sold over 100 million copies.
