October 10, 1821

The Second Great Awakening in the United States took place from the 1790s to the 1820s and ended with the work of evangelist Charles Finney. Finney served as president of Oberlin College in Ohio and is said to have converted over 500,000 people. He was converted on October 10, 1821 in the forest near his home.
