October 29, 345 - Regulus Shipwrecked in Scotland

Regulus, a Greek monk, had a dream that the Apostle Andrew's relics would be moved from his church in Patras, Greece, to Constantinople. Regulus absconded with the sacred bones and fled to Scotland, where he was shipwrecked at the site that would become the seat of the church in Scotland on October 29, 345. Pictured are the remains of the Church of St. Andrew, built near the wreck's site.
