October 27, 1771 - Francis Asbury Lands in America

Other than the Wesleys, no other person impacted Methodism in America more than Francis Asbury. A tireless circuit rider, Asbury landed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 27, 1771. He would found churches and support congregations for decades. This is a statue of him in Washington, DC.
