January 9, 710 - St. Adrian Dies
In medieval England, education was provided to many in Canterbury because of the efforts of St. Adrian, who died on January 9, 710. This Canterbury is the same in The Canterbury Tales and Archbishop of Canterbury, and Adrian caused it to be a place of learning for all of the British Isles. Pictured are the remains of the St. Augustine Abbey at the Canterbury Cathedral compound where Adrian taught and educated Brits.
