November 20, 1850 - Fanny Crosby Saved

Fanny Crosby received salvation at a Methodist revival on November 20, 1850, when she claims she had a dream of a friend asking if she would meet him in heaven one day. Her salvation and relationship with Christ profoundly changed her life and filled her with joy. She expressed this joy and her gratitude for her salvation through hymn writing. Some of her most famous include “Blessed Assurance,” “To God Be the Glory,” and “Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross.”
