The most dynamic and influential evangelist in the first two decades of the 20th century was Billy Sunday. Sunday, a former baseball player, was born in Ames, Iowa, on November 19, 1862. It is estimated that over 100,000,000 people attended over three hundred revivals during the course of his ministry and that over 1,000,000 accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
