August 21, 1866 - Civilla Durfee Martin Born

Born on August 21, 1866, Civilla Durfee Martin grew up to become a school teacher in Nova Scotia. While her day job was teaching children, she is credited with writing many poems, the most famous of which are "God Will Take Care of You," "The Blood Will Never Lose its Power," and "His Eye is on the Sparrow."
