June 3, 1905 - Hudson Taylor Dies After a Life of Mission Work
Hudson Taylor has an intriguing but powerful testimony. He was born in England to devout Christian parents, but he originally rejected the faith. He later decided to go to medical school, and while there, he encountered Christ and devoted his life to the Gospel. His parents had always focused on unreached nations who had not heard the name of Jesus, and they aimed to instill this value in their son despite his initial rejection of the Gospel. This caused Taylor to have a lifelong love for the people of China once he was saved. On his first missionary journey, he began to dress in traditional Chinese clothing to immerse himself in the culture of the people he was ministering to. He later formed the China Inland Mission and worked tirelessly until his death on June 3, 1905.
