CHT

When King James VI of Scotland became King James I of England on July 26, 1603, he wanted a new version of the Bible that could be the official Bible of the Church of England. He commissioned a group of scholars and theologians to create the “Authorized Version” of the Bible, better known as the “King James Version.”
